2Plan Project Management Ltd; is delighted to announce that despite the practical challenges implicit when working on a Grade Two Listed building, located in a pedestrianised street, working over live retail outlets, land-locked on three sides and despite a global pandemic, the conversion of three floors of derelict office space to nineteen apartments has been completed on time, in budget and to the very high quality standard demanded by both the Client and Local Authority Heritage Officer.
The construction work at 17-27 Queen Victoria Street, Reading achieved Practical Completion by the contracted date and reflected a 12 month build programme. The apartments which once furnished, will be used to provide service accommodation and be managed by one of the worlds leading operators.
2Plan Project Management Ltd; was responsible for managing the whole development from the earliest Planning stages through to the completion of the construction work.
This very challenging project only succeeded because 2PlanPM adopted a robust and comprehensive tendering process in the early stages which resulted in the selection of the right contractor (Volute London Ltd), procured for the best price using the appropriate form of Contract.
2Plan further mitigated the client's risk by monitoring all H&S measures and ensuring good change control management during the construction period and the timely processing of all financial applications and valuations on behalf of both Principal Contractor and professional consultants alike.
