ARC Project Manager

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for someone with management experience, to manage the ARC Project. Established by the Methodist Church in 2004, the ARC Project supports newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees within the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen. The project creates a safe and welcoming space for asylum seekers and refugees to learn about life in the UK and rebuild their lives. Existing services run by staff and volunteers include the provision of casework, a weekly drop-in, English language tuition, and the imminent development of a job-club, to assist refugees access employment. While the position will have a management focus, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake some casework.

The successful candidate will be employed full time - 37 hours per week, at a salary of £22,406 per annum, and on a fixed term contract for 2 years. They will be based at Wesley Hall Methodist Church, in the centre of Blackburn.

ARC Job Club Co-ordinator

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a part-time staff member within the ARC Project. Established by the Methodist Church in 2004, the ARC Project supports newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees within the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen. The project creates a safe and welcoming space for asylum seekers and refugees to learn about life in the UK and rebuild their lives.

The West Pennine Moors Methodist Circuit is looking to employ a Job Club Coordinator within the ARC Project for 20 hours per week. The salary will be £10,399 with a fixed term contract for 2 years, based at Wesley Hall Methodist Church, in the centre of Blackburn.

The purpose of this position is to develop and run a new bespoke service for refugees, enabling them to develop the necessary skills to access employment.
