Today we finished the weekend off with a trip down the coast to Bridlington CYP for the yorkshire junior finals with Corey Greaves and Mason Stainthorpe!

First up we had Corey, knowing it was going to be tough task competing against a very strong Logan Palmer from Tommy Coyles, put in a very strong performance throughout. The cleaner work ultimately came from young Palmer who went on to win on the judges score cards. Well done to his opponent and we wish him well moving on to the next round🥊

In as little time it took to walk from the Red corner over to the Blue we had Mason boxing! Well prepared and confident going into the fight, Mason executed the tactics of box and move brilliantly in all 3 rounds. A very good performance taking all 5 judges scorecards, Mason now becomes the yorkshire junior champion at U60kg.
He moves on to the next round boxing The North West region next sunday🥊

Last night we travelled down to Leeds with Taylor Locker, after only accepting the bout a few hours earlier. With no hesitation and no questions asked taylor accepted the fight which is a credit to his attitude and commitment to the sport of boxing.
The bout was a close fight between two good lads, with two different styles at play. Ultimately Taylor losing out on points, but good to get out and stay active and he will go again on the home show next weekend.
Well done to both lads and thanks to Trident for having us on.
