We couldn't be more pleased to hear the announce that planning approval has been granted for the first phase of The Forum, a 600,000 sq ft Digital Quarter at the heart of Gloucester.

UrbanR are extremely proud to be involved as lead architects on such an exciting project, working in partnership with Gloucester City Council and Reef Group.

Phase one will provide 43 new homes with views to the Cathedral, along with retail space. Work is expected to start on construction Spring of this year. Forming part of the £85m Digital Quarter regeneration proposal for the city.

The wider development includes more than 125,000 sq ft of new versatile office space, with a shared workspace club and an innovation hub designed for emerging cyber businesses and incubator businesses. The office space will sit alongside a 131-bedroom four-star hotel, a 9,000 sq ft gym, restaurants, shops, and bars.

The sensitive refurbishment and extension of the Boswells Department store in Oxford will create a new 4* boutique Hotel in the heart of the City. The design process required detailed research and attention to existing details to achieve a seamless blend of old and new.

Bringing life and activity to Gravesend, with the refurbishment and rebrand of St Georges Shopping centre.

Working for Reef Group and Gravesham Borough Council, UrbanR were appointed as design lead and branding consultants. This is only the first phase of the town centre regeneration that Reef Group and Gravesham Borough Council are working in partnership to deliver.

An essential retail and leisure destination for locals. The rebrand of this centre has enhanced the physical environment with bright playful graphics, improved mobility with a clear wayfinding scheme and added value to locals by attracting new retailers.
