Kitchen complete last week in Wakefield 👌
Client and her partner did most of the boarding on the walls 👏
The electrician did me a little dirty running cables all over the ceiling, but we got there in the end 💪
We battened the ceiling and boarded it over carefully, making sure no screws hit any wires.
A bit of bonding was added to damaged areas, plus mesh over the solid walls with hairline cracks for that extra bit of guarantee ⭐️
Ceiling fully re-boarded and skimmed, walls bonded and plastered ready for the kitchen fit 🔥

Back to the internal work this week — starting with a large fan-pattern artex ceiling.
As always, the job was fully sheeted out and kept clean and tidy from start to finish, the standard you can expect from DM Plastering & Rendering.
This ceiling roughly 27sqm and received:
• Full preparation work
• Pink SBR
• Mesh reinforcement embedded over existing hairline cracks
• Two coats of finishing plaster finished to a high standard
The ceiling itself was solid, but where hairline cracks were present, mesh reinforcement was installed for added peace of mind and to help prevent cracks from reappearing in the future. It’s an extra step not everyone takes, but we believe in delivering long-lasting results, not shortcuts.
Finished smooth, clean, and ready for decoration.
