Apologies for being a little quiet over the winter months — with the weather we had, it really felt like we were just treading water!

Thankfully, everything was okay. We’re very lucky to have well-draining land and to keep our pigs on a rotational grazing system, but it was relentless at times!

Today was “the big move”! We rotate our pigs between cereals and grassland, which works brilliantly for us. It not only keeps the pigs happy and healthy but also allows us to use their manure as a natural fertiliser for the land.

Our breeding sows and boars are well used to moving and loading now, and over the years we’ve built up a range of equipment to suit different locations and situations.

Here are a few photos from today — a busy but really productive day with the BEST mini team! 🐖💪

As always, thanks for following along and supporting what we do 😊

After Storm Goretti, everything feels incredibly serene. We were very lucky with minimal damage and all our arks secure and cosy. It’s a beautiful day here, while keeping in our thoughts those who were badly affected
