Have you ever noticed me cueing your gaze during class?

That point of focus is called ✨Drishti✨

In Sanskrit, Drishti means “focused gaze” or “vision.”
It is traditionally used in yoga to cultivate concentration and support meditation in movement🌀

You might notice when you’ve got a busy mind, the eyes tend to wander + dart around the room. Drishti - we intentionally soften our gaze towards a single point.

This simple practice can have an incredible effect in quieting the mental chatter, feel more balanced/stable + inviting in presence as it takes you out of the mind and into the body🧘‍♀️

Drishti isn’t about staring intensely or creating tension. Instead, it’s a gentle, soft, relaxed point of focus that invites steadiness; both physically and mentally.

You might notice me cueing:
• Gazing over your middle finger in Warrior II.
• Gazing softly at a fixed point in balancing postures.
• Closing the eyes or softening the gaze during breathwork and relaxation to turn awareness inwards.

Off the mat, Drishti can become a beautiful reminder too🤍

In a world full of notifications, distractions, and constant stimulation, where we place our attention can shape our experience. Every time we choose to gently return our focus to our breath or the present moment; we are practising Drishti.

Yoga isn’t about doing more. It’s about learning where to rest our attention, our focus.

What we focus on often grows🌿

stay for the end to see my inner child come out🌳🤪

I’m such a sun lover + summer lover🌞 this truly is the season I feel most connected and free and feminine in and just sooo happy !!🌸🌷 (hence my logo reasoning)

summer can be so abundant of plans and this year seems to be FLYING by. the last few weeks I’ve been guided to surrender + slow down, so I’ve been taking time for me, to just be and do the things I love🤍

and the result has just left me with so so soo much gratitude + joy. reminding me the importance of slowing down and taking that time to connect with yourself🫀

sound left on so you can enjoy the birdsong and sounds of the tree swaying in the breeze with me🐥✨

How can you take time to slow down?

my teaching style…🤍

my classes are rooted in mindful movement, breath and presence rather than perfection.

I loveee weaving traditional yogic philosophy, pranayama (breathwork) and meaningful themes into my classes, creating experiences that extend beyond the physical practice.

I aim to create a safe space to land; somewhere you can soften the pressure to “perform”, tune into your body and move in a way that feels supportive for you. as well as having a giggle along the way!🤪

expect a blend of fluid movement, moments of stillness, gentle challenge and deep relaxation, all woven together with intention.

it may be that you arrive feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or simply in need of a pause; my aim is for you to leave feeling a little more grounded, spacious and connected to yourself.

every class is an invitation to slow down, become curious and meet yourself exactly where you are🫀🧘‍♀️🌀🤍✨

what we’ve been practicing this month! preparing for our peak pose - Double Pigeon, combined with the philosophical theme of Shoshin (Beginners Mind)💭

Double Pigeon has been the perfect pose to weave in the Shoshin. a pose where we really have to focus inwards, check in with the flow of our thoughts/judgments + keep returning to looking at our practice with fresh eyes, a new perspective 👀

not taking ourselves too seriously along the way, releasing those judgments. the peak pose is never the goal; it’s the exploration of your body, being curious about what is here in the presence, your breath, the journey to get there and having fun with it🤪

‘In the Beginners Mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few’ - Shunryu Suzuki

and so where in your life can you take on the Beginners Mind & go in with fresh eyes? maybe there’s a situation you can get more curious about and not assume you know everything…

✨A beautiful morning celebrating the bride-to-be in nature✨

We moved, breathed, laughed, connected and took a moment to slow down amongst all the excitement of hen party celebrations.

Together we shared a gentle yoga flow, a personalised meditation woven around the bride and the special women surrounding her, and a deeply restorative sound journey (with the added bonus of easing a few hangovers along the way 🤭)

A reminder that these moments of pause, connection and being fully present together are often the ones we remember the most. 💛

Thank you for trusting me to hold space for such a beautiful chapter before the big day🌿✨
