University College Birmingham has received approval for an ambitious plan to create over 1,200 student beds. The existing Cambrian Halls, dating back to the 1970s, no longer meet the needs of today’s students. The new development will consist of two distinct blocks: the 35-story Canal Block and the 15-story Courtyard Block. These modern facilities will offer students a comfortable and contemporary living experience, complete with state-of-the-art amenities.

The Dolphin Hotel in Southampton has received approval to convert its facilities into student housing, offering 99 new rooms for students. The renovation plans also include a communal dining area and lounge for the residents. The hotel is currently one of the oldest in Southampton.
