🚨 Important Update for Ford Transit 2.0 EcoBlue Owners 🚨

We've had two Transit 2.0 EcoBlue engines in this week for timing belt replacements after informing customers that their belts were overdue.

Ford has quietly changed the timing belt replacement interval from 10 years/144,000 miles to 6 years/100,000 miles as of July 2024. Many vans on the road are now overdue, and owners may have been told at their last service that it wasn’t due—only to find out now that it is overdue.

This change was necessary because these engines were already suffering timing belt failures before the original replacement schedule. Ignoring it could lead to belt debris blocking the oil strainer, low oil pressure, turbo or engine damage, or brake issues due to a blocked vacuum pump.

🔧 How we do it right:
When we replace the timing belt, we also remove the sump pan to clean out any belt debris and replace the oil pump belt—a step that takes more time but helps prevent costly future problems.

We only use genuine Ford parts to ensure the job is done properly.
