⛵ Sail to Weymouth and Back in a Weekend

A brilliant weekend for anyone wanting mile building, coastal sailing experience and a proper mini‑adventure.

You’ll sail from the Solent to Weymouth, enjoy the coastline, practice passage planning, boat‑handling and pilotage — and spend a relaxed evening ashore before sailing back on Sunday.

It’s ideal for building confidence, refreshing skills or preparing for Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster.

Two boats.
Two race plans.

A lot of the fleet have made it home and are no doubt refreshing themselves in the beer tent.

Our two favourite boats are still out there enjoying the sunshine and steady F4 breeze as they head back up Eastern Solent to the finish line.

Challenger 4 decided to “go long” around Saint Catherine’s and minimised the manoeuvres whilst Venti has been a bit more action packed.

The finish line is in sight for C4 and Venti will join them shortly.

It looks like somethings happening in the Solent!!!!

The RTIR is in full swing with about 800 boats battling around the course.
The majority of the fleet are heading towards the chaos of the Needles whilst some of the larger boats have already rounded them.

Our two entrants, “Challenger 4” and “Venti Secundis” are making good progress.
