π¦ Not all shipping containers are built the same.
While the standard dry van container is the most commonly used, there are many different container types designed to transport specific cargo safely and efficiently.
From temperature-controlled reefers and open-top containers to ISO tanks and flat racks, each type serves a unique purpose within global supply chains.
Choosing the right container helps ensure cargo is transported safely, efficiently, and in the most suitable conditions for the journey ahead.

π Surrendered B/L vs Telex Release β What's the Difference?
In international shipping, both a Surrendered Bill of Lading and a Telex Release allow cargo to be released without the consignee presenting an original paper Bill of Lading. However, they are not the same thing.
π Surrendered B/L
The original Bills of Lading are handed back, or "surrendered", to the carrier at origin. Once surrendered, the cargo can be released at destination without requiring the original documents.
π§ Telex Release
A Telex Release is the notification sent by the carrier confirming that the Bill of Lading has been surrendered and authorising the cargo to be released.
π‘ In simple terms:
A Surrendered B/L is the action.
A Telex Release is the instruction that follows.
Understanding the difference can help simplify documentation processes and avoid delays when cargo reaches its destination.
