Enrichment Update #30: Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). This Level 2 Certificate is a brand-new opportunity for 2026. The certificate is internationally recognised and allows you to teach English in schools abroad, privately in the UK or online anywhere. The course is delivered by the English and Modern Languages teachers. It is perfect for gap years and teaching abroad before you go to university. If you are interested, sign up at enrolment.

Term is ending for learners across the region. For those hoping to join us in September, we hope you have a wonderful summer and we look forward to welcoming you in for enrolment on 25 or 26 August. Remember, you can book your enrolment appointment from Thursday 20 August, when you have your GCSE results.

Enrichment Update #28: Sustainability Level 3 Certificate. This qualification is designed to be taken as part of a Level 3 study programme, with a strong focus on the practical application of skills and knowledge. The topics covered by this qualification include the three fundamental pillars of sustainability: environmental sustainability, economic sustainability, and social sustainability. Input from the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), leading universities, and other stakeholders ensures this qualification covers the fundamental aspects of sustainability and encourages students to find positive solutions to pressing sustainability challenges faced by governments, organisations, and individuals. If you want to get involved, sign up when you enrol in late-August.

Enrichment Update #27: Student Societies. Being at College is not all about academic study; it is also a time to meet new people and try out new experiences. Our enrichment programme of student-led clubs and societies encourages you to widen your horizons and develop valuable skills that will complement the knowledge gained in your lessons. Student societies are organised and operated by students for students. Examples of recently run societies are Environmental Club, British Sign Language enrichment, Book Club, Craft Club, LGBTQ+ Society, Christian Society and Islamic Society to name but a few or you could set up your own society. Speak to the Student Development Team in September if you are interested.

We held our End of Year Celebration today. Thanks to everyone who came along to take part in the fun activities we had on, including bungee run, bucking bronco, photo booth, exotic animals and tasty food truck treats. We wish everyone a super summer holidays!
