Holyhead Port Update: Information for all customers
Reviewing the ongoing issues at Holyhead port, the latest information is that the port will remain closed until the 15th of January.
We have been fortunate to keep the services operating during this challenging period and until now we have been able to provide a seamless service.
The extended closure of the port however has changed the dynamics, Healthcare and Food products and essentials are now a priority for the Country.

A scheme to transfer freight from road to rail has cut 64,300 truck journeys from roads in its first year, according to a port operator. π π
DP World in Southampton started offering a financial incentive to move shipping containers by rail in September 2023. It imposes a Β£10 charge for every laden container arriving in Southampton - the UKβs third-largest terminal. π
The aim is to make rail travel to giant distribution hubs in the Midlands more viable, taking lorries off the M3 motorway and A34 dual carriageway.
