Dingers, Dongers and Surron wannabes.
Well we didn't plan to go to Doncaster, but we had a tip off about some stolen motorcycles stashed up, so headed over.
Unfortunately, the motorcycles were not there, so we moved on.
Whilst in Conisbrough, we spotted three lads on pit bikes riding through the town centre.
Owing to them clearly still shopping at the early learning centre and having coco before bed, we did not give chase.
Emboldened by thinking they had smoked us they came back for a little bird action nice ! parents must be so proud.
Then just as we were moving off, we spotted what initially looked like a Surron in an alley way with another electric bike.
Suspecting a drug deal, we gave chase. Knowing that there was a sheer drop down some stairs at the end of the alley we went the road way.
Sure enough as we come around the corner one lad hopping off into the undergrowth like a wounded rabbit.
Bike all twisted tyre off the rim. That will be the stairs pal, they are steep. Good effort though.
On further inspection the Surron not Surron was a bit of a Frankenstein of parts creating a Temu version of the big brand.
His mate also lost his bike being caught in the alley. Not quite as gucci at Temu Surron, more of a 3 out of 10, but again good effort.
Then off to reports of 4 motorcycles, attempting to steal other motorcycles in Balby.
Plenty of phones out, so they know we are about. After the tumble weeds started rolling down the street, we decided to take a trip to Lakeside.
As soon as we hit Middle Bank, we spot a black bike no plate, two up.
Sure enough its off heading for Lakeside. After being persuaded to go left up Decoy Bank North.
The rider clearly wasn't familiar with the road turning right into a drive for a industrial premises and straight into a metal gate, ouch.
After being introduced to the shackles of sadness both were detained. Looking at the passengers trackies, we were sure there was a little wee wee 😀.
Ballies off and the 15yr old rider and 16yr old passenger did not seem to be bothered about their predicament.
We quickly recognised them as some of the Dunscroft massive, remember the horse 🐎 incident from the week before.
After a quick search the rider was found to be in possession of cannabis and the passenger a screwdriver used for the bike ignition.
When asked what they wanted to do with their lives they said, steal bikes !
Well at least they have a plan, bless em.
If you ever get sick of stealing bikes at least you might have a career in jewellery or modern art.
Got to say that is the blingest gear lever I have ever seen, top drawer, top drawer..
Come and see us at New Hall Farm Open Day!
If you're looking for something to do this weekend, or to get the kids out in the fresh air, we'll be at New Hall Farm this Sunday (7 June) for their open day.
It's completely free to attend and a great way to help us raise awareness about the work we are doing in our rural communities.
Hope to see you there! 🚜
ASB: Off-road bikes seized and reckless teenage riders detained after police aircraft pursuit 🚨
Two reckless off-road bikers riders thought balaclavas, speed and alleyway hideouts would keep them out of sight from us.
But they were wrong - because every inch of their dangerous ride across Doncaster was being watched from above 👀
The National Police Air Service (NPAS) tracked the pair as they speeded past traffic, tore up sports pitches and blasted across public parks in speeds their modified bikes were never meant to reach.
They undertook cars, overtook on blind bends and rode straight across pitches and parks.
When they finally ditched the bikes in an alleyway and crouched behind a fence, officers from our Motorcycle and Rural Crime Team were already closing in.
Second later, both were detained and both bikes were seized.
It is against the law to ride off-road bikes on public roads in the UK without a valid insurance, licence, road tax and registration plate 🚫
Riding them in parks and on pitches is also illegal too, and when bikes are modified to hit speeds of potentially more than 60mph, the risk of a serious or fatal collision dramatically increases.
📢 Doncaster East NPT Inspector Alison Carr said: "This isn't harmless fun. These bikes can cause catastrophic injuries. People deserve to use parks, roads and footpaths without the threat of off-road bikes flying past."
She also had this message for parents: "Before you buy an off-road bike for your child, please consider whether they can ride it legally and just how fast it can travel.
"Help us prevent tragedies before they happen as the last thing we want to do is knock on your door to tell you your child has been seriously injured, or worse."
