, it’s taken 4 days to tell me that something posted to me needs extra postage paying.
It’s annoying that I, the recipient, have to pay this fee, but I guess that’s for me to take up with the sender once I find out who has sent it.
Those 4 days, no doubt, come out of the 18 calendar days to sort it and collect it (thanks for the rush👍🏻)

I was out when the local postie (who are actually quite good - thanks guys) delivered today’s mail at about 11:00 - thank you doorbell camera👀

My options:
•Pay online, and choose redelivery.
•Pay by putting stamps on this card, and posting.
•Pay in person, and collect.

•I can’t be bothered going through the faff of setting up the online payment.
•If I had stamps (and in all seriousness, the general public are dealing less and less with stamps anyway, and I’d have thought you would know this) I’d have to wait several days for it to get to you, be processed, then re-send (if the system even works, because, let’s face it, people haven’t exactly got faith in Royal Mail not losing things these days - what’s the odds of the card reaching you, and then I have no proof of anything even being attempted to be delivered in the first place).
•So I opted to put my shoes back on, drive to the other side of Sale, and collect in person.

When I get to the delivery office (which was teeming with employees and vans in the carpark), I’m greeted by a locked door and a sign taped up with “New Opening Times - 8am-10am”!
(I didn’t even know there was something in the system until the postmen pushed the card through at 11:00!)
WOW! That’s about as convenient as finding a slug in your slippers! So, not only do I owe money for someone else’s incompetence/mistake, I’ve had a wasted journey to your DO.
I then decide to use the online payment feature, and rather than simply typing in the reference number, I’ve got to fill in all sorts of arbitrary information (hoping that it’ll be assigned to this delivery), including how much the fee is for (can’t this actually be linked to the reference and then automated??), and then STILL have to wait until Friday until it’ll be delivered (🤞🏻).

Please sort this!

Making the most of waking up ridiculously early, and so went to the hotel gym for a cheeky 5k before 7am (on the “dreadmill”😩)

Back in the room, showered and dressed, and everyone else is still fast asleep💤

Now I’m going to relax and read for a bit with my espresso📖☕️ ahh😌
