The George in Rye

You could say Paul Dobson has diversity in his blood; he started organic farming in 2009 after a career as a professional golfer!

Now he runs the organic farm that’s part of and also works with his partner Kristin at the Oxney vineyard.

Together they have built one of England’s largest organic estates around the belief that farming should work with nature, not against it.

The end result is an impressive array of award-winning still and sparkling English wines, which The George is delighted to stock.

“When I visit there I never want to leave!

We had the most wonderful (huge) room with an amazing view and they gave us a beautifully colourful (with lots of pink) room too as they spotted that I love colour! How thoughtful!
