Day 1 of training for Kerry 🤍

Today was all about building strong foundations — not just how to lash, but why we do everything we do.

Kerry spent the morning diving into the theory behind lash artistry, including understanding the science of the natural lash cycle, product knowledge, and how each element impacts retention, safety, and results. This is what separates a lash tech from a lash artist.

We then moved into practical work, focusing on the core techniques every artist must master — precise prepping, correct isolation, body positioning, and accurate placement. These are the fundamentals that determine the quality of every set going forward.

By the afternoon, Kerry progressed onto her first live model — and this is where the real learning begins. Working on a mannequin is one thing, but a real client introduces movement, sensitivity, and pressure… and that’s when technique is truly tested.

The first day can feel overwhelming for many students, which is exactly why our training is structured across 3 days with live models. This approach allows time to absorb, practice, refine, and build confidence — so no one leaves feeling discouraged, only supported and improving.
