Setting off for the Mayhem winch challenge. be like,

Transbrake engage, build boost, launch it…… 🐌💨

All done and ready to go finally. Been a long few weeks and some serious late nights again to get it ready. But we are on route. Suns out, tunes are up cruising to Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ☀️🎵

There will be another post next week with all the prep we have done to make it to the event, but not now. Too tired and looking forward to the weekend.!

Here we are sports fans. We got there. 99% finished.!

Going out testing the new 8 speed tomorrow. Very excited to abuse it after a few more weeks of hard work and late nights. It’s been a massive project and all we have worked on for the last 6 months to get it done, so very relieved for it to be loaded on the trailer ready.

Since the expo show the box had to come back out. Had to investigate an oil leak, which is now sorted and a few other jobs while it was out. Then it went back in with the anodised adapters and then we could finish the whole conversion.

The HTG gcu has now been mounted in the dash properly with its cover to keep it clean. We put a park release cable in as it needs to be running to get it into drive, otherwise the gearbox is locked up. So this was a must for me, if you’re stuck in a section and dead you can’t use the winches to get out. The d2 hi low gaiter got modified with an Ali plate inside instead of the original plastic clip so it could be fixed down properly. Little details to just get it finished off right.

We have 3d printed a gauge holder for the HTG dial indicator. Really happy how this came out. So that will tell us what gear we are in and gearbox temp. Well it would, until sausage fingers stuck his finger through the screen and broke it. So I’ve had to order another. 🤦🏼‍♂️

As well as all the gearbox stuff, it has had a new belly plate and axle skid plate after 2 years of abuse they were pretty knackered. And the cherry on top is a new 3inch stainless exhaust. It has been on the to do list for a while and then definitely needed sorting after it fell off at dougies. It was the only thing that we feel let the truck down after all the other nice bits we have put on it.

Left to do is re joint all the arms but for now they will do and to get Marcus and Jose on it to get it setup, then we are race ready. 🐌💨

Cross fingers for tomorrow…. 🤞🏼
