Hot weather can increase the risk of dehydration, especially if you are active or spending time outside.

Try to drink regularly throughout the day, unless a healthcare professional has advised you otherwise:
➡ Water and diluted squash are good choices.
➡ Take a refillable bottle when going out and carry extra water for journeys.
➡ Try to limit alcohol, as it can increase the risk of dehydration.

If you feel unwell in the heat, use NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency, call 999.
