Let's rewind fifteen years - Adele was topping the charts. The final Harry Potter film was dominating the box office. And somewhere in Sheffield, Paul Brammer was starting his first day with the business.
Since then, both Nicholas Associates Group and the recruitment industry have evolved significantly. Paul has played a key role in that journey - joining our Board, helping grow and develop our Specialist Brands, and supporting the transformation of our Group into the business it is today.
To mark his 15-year anniversary, we sat down with Paul to look back on the defining moments, lessons and achievements that have shaped his career so far.

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we’re in the mix for THREE awards at this year’s Recruiter Awards:
⭐ Stafforce Ports - Best Client Service

⭐ Nicholas Associates - Best Engineering Recruitment Agency
Seeing three of our specialist brands recognised in one of the recruitment industry’s most prestigious awards programmes is something we’re incredibly proud of.
This achievement reflects the passion, expertise, and dedication of our amazing teams, who go above and beyond every day to support clients, candidates, and communities across the UK.
A huge congratulations to everyone who has contributed to this success. We’re proud to be flying the flag for our brands, and we can’t wait for the awards night!
Ahead of Father's Day, we’re celebrating the father figures who make a difference across Nicholas Associates Group and beyond👏
From dads and stepdads to grandads, mentors, and even the proud dads of fur babies 🐾 - today is about recognising the many ways people show up, support others, and lead by example.
Being a father figure isn’t just about titles; it’s about encouragement, patience, guidance, and the everyday moments that leave a lasting impact.
Across our Group, colleagues have shared photos of those who inspire them, highlighting just how diverse and meaningful these roles can be.
To all the incredible father figures in our teams and communities - thank you for everything you do.
Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Nicholas Associates Group.

Even as Volunteers’ Week draws to a close, we still have more colleagues across our Group to celebrate for the time they dedicate to supporting their communities and making a real difference.
Amy French, from our Stafforce Ports team, volunteers weekly with her local Scouts group, where she serves as a Team Leader for the Beavers section. In this role, she helps young people aged 6 to 8 build important life skills through a wide range of engaging activities.
From hands-on projects like building bug hotels to encouraging participation in exciting challenges such as climbing and tomahawk throwing, Amy plays a key role in creating a fun and supportive environment for young people to learn and grow.
Amy’s volunteering goes beyond her local group. She also supports Humberside Scouts at a district level as a District Skills Instructor for water activities. During the busy summer months, she is part of the water activities team, teaching young people how to kayak and take part in stand up paddleboarding.
Scouting is a true family passion for Amy, with her family also actively involved and sharing her enthusiasm for giving back.
Amy’s ongoing commitment is a fantastic example of the positive impact volunteering can have on young people and the wider community.
Thank you, Amy, for everything you do 👏
