What a brilliant way to round off Co-production Week! 🌟
Michael spent the day at GuilFest as a Supported Steward, helping the team get everything ready before enjoying a fantastic day of live music, sunshine and community spirit.
Days like this are about more than having fun. They're about building confidence, meeting new people and being part of the local community.
We're proud to create opportunities that help people do the things they enjoy, try something new and lead glorious ordinary lives.
Well done to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day! 💙

Care Talent Collective, our lead partnership are celebrating a huge milestone.
They have now delivered 500 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 2 courses across Surrey and Sussex.
This training helps healthcare professionals better understand the experiences, needs and communication preferences of autistic people and people with learning disabilities. The training is designed to improve the quality of care people receive and help make healthcare services more accessible, inclusive and person-centred.
What makes the training so powerful is that it is co-delivered by experts with lived experience. By sharing their own experiences of healthcare and everyday life, they give healthcare professionals a deeper understanding of what good support looks like in practice.
One participant said:
"This training makes theory become practice, it makes it real. As it is mandatory it is a fantastic opportunity for all staff to understand what a learning disability is, what is autism, what is neurodivergence. There is so much to learn from it."
Reaching 500 courses is an incredible achievement and reflects the dedication of our trainers, co-trainers, facilitators and partner organisations who are helping to create more inclusive healthcare services across our communities.
As we celebrate this milestone, we're also looking ahead. Care Talent Collective is currently recruiting:
• Oliver McGowan Co-Trainers with lived experience in West Sussex and Brighton & Hove
• Freelance Facilitator Trainers
If you're passionate about improving healthcare by learning from lived experience, or you're looking to book Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training for your team, we'd love to hear from you.
