The science behind the hippie dippie - think it's all woo woo? Think again!

A lot of people still think yoga is all baggy pants, tie dye and crystals. But there is science behind EVERYTHING we do at Yoga Reading.

Here are just some of the movement classes we offer and how science has shown they can benefit the body...

1. Beginners Yoga - Improves strength, balance and flexibility.
2. Pilates - Relieves back pain. Increases core strength.
3. Soundbaths - Reduces cortisol (the stress hormone).
4. Pregnancy Yoga - Gives mums to be time out. Prepares the body for labour.
5. Better Breathing Class - Improves mood and anxiety levels. Reduces blood pressure.
6. Iyengar Yoga - Enhances posture, alignment and coordination.
7. Vinyasa - Improves cardiovascular strength and endurance.

We could go on, but trust us, it FEELS good for you because it IS good for you!

Come for the Yoga, stay for the Community!

What starts as an hour on the mat can often become so much more.

We all begin yoga for different reasons. You may have walked through the door looking for movement, or wanting to improve flexibility, or craving a moment of peace.

The joy of small, independant studios like ours is that we also offer a little something extra. On top of all of those things, we can give you connection.

Conversations before class, encouragement, shared growth and laughter - this is the magic of community.

At Yoga Reading we love offering events that nurture and grow our relationships.
From the simple joy of a post practice herbal tea, to large charity fund raisers. From beautiful retreats, to studio socials - yoga begins on the mat, but extends far
beyond it.
