🌳 Beech Tree Compartmentalisation 🌳

This mature beech showed clear signs of CODIT (Compartmentalisation of Decay in Trees) — an internal defence process where the tree walls off infection and decay to protect its vascular system.

You could see where the tree had been isolating damage over time — textbook example of barrier zones and adaptive growth.

Due to the tree’s size, lean, and surrounding targets, we carried out a sectional dismantle using a crane and MEWP, ensuring controlled rigging and minimal impact to the site.
