This Land Rover Discovery 3 had the electronic handbrake jammed on and the electronic handbrake mechansim had to be reset as the motor had wound the cable adjuster up so tight the emergency release would not work. I later found out that another garage had replaced the rear brakes but not adjusted the handbrake correctly, or used a diagnostic tool to put the mechanism into service mode while changing the brakes, hence the over adjusted cable adjuster.
