Tonight's tinned fish experiment is with sardines in organic lemon and olive oil! The reserved oil made for the perfect base for the niรงoise dressing, and the sardines were the perfect juicy sardines I've come to expect from Fish4Ever!
Such a filling low calorie yet high volume and protein bowl of absolute joy on the toastiest day of the year so far ๐โ๏ธ

Less is more with a few great ingredients. Although Iโd argue less is not more with the quantity of butter ๐
On my toast:
โขA garlic clove rubbed front and back of the toast
โขJersey butter
โข A few high quality jarred anchovies from in cold pressed extra virgin olive oil
All served on sourdough toast. And thatโs it, a simple recipe but very delicious. It tastes a bit like garlic bread but with that gorgeous salty hit from the anchovies. You need to try this anchovy toast. Anchovies are nutrient dense and packed full of omega 3 fatty acids so Iโm trying to eat more jarred & tinned fish.
