Due to continued growth Weldlag Limited are looking to appoint additional Asbestos Removal Operatives to our team in the North West.

Weldlag has an enviable reputation spanning over 30 years and conduct Asbestos works for a number of high profile clients; from Local Authorities, the NHS and some of the UK’s largest construction companies. Due to our excellent reputation, we continue to grow and are looking to appoint additional team members to support our growth plans.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for Asbestos Removal Operatives to join that team. We have various positions available for different levels of experience.
Minimum experience and qualifications required:

Asbestos Removal Operative Certificate (Minimum 2 Years’ experience)
CSCS Card
Full UK Driving License

The Benefits
Up to £22,000 pa (dependent on experience)

Weldlag has an enviable reputation spanning over 30 years and conducts Asbestos works for a number of high profile clients; from Local Authorities, the NHS and some of the UK’s largest construction companies. Due to our excellent reputation, we continue to grow and are looking to appoint an additional team member to support our growth plans.

What we are looking for:
Main Duties:
Supporting our Contracts Director with liaison with clients, site visit for assessment and preparation of quotations. Ensuring all works are carried out to the best of your ability.

Assisting to identify, win and develop new client accounts and maintain the highest standard of service for existing client base.

Preparation of site-specific risk assessments and detailed method statements ensuring compliance with HSE regulations. Convey the information contained within the site-specific risk assessment/method statement to site personnel to ensure full understanding.

Programme works and resources to ensure client and company needs are met.
Oversee work carried out by removal teams to ensure the highest standard of workmanship is being achieved. Assist colleagues.

Responsible for creating clear and accurate job files ensuring all relevant paperwork is contained before submitting for archiving.

Take all reasonable steps to ensure health and safety and welfare at work. You are required to gain an understanding of the Company’s health and safety procedures, observe them and enforce them, and ensure that safety equipment and clothing are fit for the purpose and always used. Carry out regular health and safety checks, including site audits.

Ensure operatives are fully trained and competent for the undertaking of the work in hand.

Maintain a strong working relationship with customers and suppliers at all times.
Ensure sub-contract companies and labour are competent in the tasks that are required of them. Ensure all Health & Safety paperwork and standards of the highest level are met to ensure the company image is not compromised.

Qualifications and experience:
Evidence of at least 2 years of management experience, and display good all-round interpersonal skills as well as leadership and people management skills. The role is client-facing and involves working with at all levels within organisations (Senior Directors, Site Operatives, Major and Sub Contractors, Local Authorities etc.).

Evidence of experience in being able to successfully manage both small and large-scale projects through to completion.

Be commercially astute, a role requirement will be to negotiate “profitable” contracts in detail and build long-term client relationships.

Be able to understand all the financial aspects of the Contract Management process and be able to produce detailed working programmes and plans of work.

Having an understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9000 would be advantageous.

Be able to demonstrate improvements in operation performance due to new initiatives implemented

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Asbestos Legislation and removal techniques.
