❓ What kind of teacher do you hope to be?

🗣️ "Ultimately, I want to be the kind of teacher that pupils feel they would rather be coming into school to learn with than skipping out and not attending. I want pupils to build confidence, be included in shaping their lives and their classrooms and to have fun while learning. I want to take some of the play pedagogy that I practiced in nurseries and apply that to the classroom. I want learning to come organically through meaningful and lasting experiences."

Day one and two are complete for our Academy of Sport and Wellbeing, UHI Perth Manager, Arlene – alongside ASW members Michael and Heather!

Yesterday, the team covered 148 km with 8,507 ft climbed 🚴 That's 2.5 x Ben Nevis! 😯 They are now at 89% of their £1,500 fundraising target! 🥳

ℹ️ The team are raising money for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Charity UK - a charity very close to Heather and Michael as Michael himself is living with Polycystic Kidney Disease.
