PKAVS Self-Directed Support Project

Tuesday 26 May from 2 pm to 3 pm - aimed at people with learning disabilities and complex care needs, their families and carers. The events will be held online through Teams and are free to attend.

Staff from our Adult Carers Team will be at the Carers Roadshow on Thursday if you want to learn more about the services we offer, including independent advice and support for unpaid carers on all things social care and Self-Directed Support. Drop in to find out more!

In Control Scotland will be running their next 'Getting to Grips with Self Directed Support' on-line training session on Wednesday, 10th June 2026, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm on Microsoft Teams.

This training session is all about the basics of self-directed support and covers the values, principles and processes. It is suitable for people new to self-directed support or as a wee refresher for others. The cost is £50:00 to attend, but we are able to offer some FREE places to people in receipt of support and unpaid carers.
