CWU Nottingham
Ballot papers will now be reaching members addresses across Nottingham.
The Nottingham Amalgamated branch has recommended a "Yes" vote for both the USO and first steps of equalisation vote.
This position was reached unanimously by the central committee after extensive deliberations.
We believe that it is in Nottingham members best interests to vote for the new USO model, DM26, as it represents an improved level of workload for delivery members in comparison to the ODM model and as such we would ask members to back the new model when voting.
We further believe that, despite this not being as big a leap as the branch and members wanted as a first step towards equalisation, this initial implementation of 1.75% increase to pay and commitments to continue to bridge the gap, is representative of Royal Mails original position that they would not give anything towards the equalisation of new members and we believe The CWU can gain further ground on bridging the gap when USO is fully deployed.
We are asking members to Vote YES.
