Nottingham Goose Fair

It might be the middle of summer but preparations for Nottingham Goose Fair are currently underway for Nottinghams biggest event of the year as Britain’s GREATEST fair returns from Friday 25th September until Sunday 4th October 2026!

So what we will do this month is share some old photos and videos before the 2026 announcements start in August and coverage of the fair building up in September.

Here is a photo of the 1927 Nottingham Goose Fair being laid out with the circles representing the large rides in the market place with the new council house being built in the background.

The modern day fair on The Forest is still done this way with each position marked out for each ride and attraction.

If you look closely in September you’ll be able to see these markings.
