Skate Nottingham

Last weekend we hosted a community day with the Bottesford Skatepark working group, to further raise awareness of their campaign to fund a new, modern skatepark to replace an ageing wooden park. ⁣

Kindly funded by Bottesford Parish Council, Skate Nottingham hosted a free skateboard coaching session, consultation activities, pop-up obstacles, and a good old fashioned mini ramp jam!⁣

Next, we’ll be identifying and writing grant applications to hopefully raise more funding for the new skatepark pot. You can help this process by simply inputting your views on a new skatepark via this short survey:

More responses = stronger grant applications, with a bigger show of support for the project and a clearer view of what the community want. Survey closes this weekend. ⁣

12:00 - 13:00: Skatepark consultation activities ⁣
13:00 - 14:00: Mini ramp jam (all wheels!)⁣
Extra skateable obstacles available throughout. Skatepark survey & consultation happening all day, 10:30 - 15:00. Other creative activities will be available for under-7s.⁣
