“One of the biggest surprises in grief for me has been the beauty of continuing bonds, and the fact that I feel so connected to my son Harry 25 years on. Ultimately the aim is always to make that relationship more about the love for them and less about the pain.”

This idea might be too painful to consider in the early throes of grief. But over time, we might find new ways to continue our relationship with someone who has died, allowing it to evolve into something different - but still beautiful - much like our own evolution after profound loss.

A gentle reminder as we move into the warmer months to continue watering your memorial tree if you can. 🌳

Newly planted trees need time to develop their root systems in new environments. Regular watering (and time) can encourage the roots to grow and establish themselves, which in turn means the tree will be more successful finding water.

You can check on the health of your tree by using a nail or key to scrape away some bark at the base. If it’s green, it’s good. You can contact our office if you’re worried about the health of your tree and our site managers will take a look.
