This is because if they have an injury to the spine it could result in paralysis if they are moved the wrong way.

Wait for paramedics to arrive so they can be moved correctly.

Doctors always recommend finishing your course of antibiotics. That's because even if you feel better before the course ends, the bacteria can still be live in your body and multiply.

There is also the risk that these bacteria can become resistant to the antibiotics.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course

This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering:

- Adult resuscitation (CPR certification)
- Burns and scalds
- Choking adult
- Communication and casualty care
- Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)
- Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)
- Minor and severe bleeding
- Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
- Seizures
- Shock
- Unresponsive adult
