Great event today Southern Regional College celebrating Females in Engineering.

Brilliant to see so many enthusiastic young students!

We are now in week 2 of the Department for the Economy NI Assured Skills Welding Academy.

Twelve students have embarked on their journey with SWC to achieve their Level 2 MIG welding certification. Along the way, they'll enhance their CV and interview skills, visit local engineering firms, and interview with top companies.

Next recruitment begins on Feb 23rd.

Students from South West College recently completed The Assured Skills Robotics Academy. Funded by Department for the Economy NI, students received industry advised Robotics and Automation training that will provide them with the skills to take up potential Robotics and Automation roles with companies in Dungannon and the surrounding area.

Are you a Chemistry student with a keen interest in the aerospace industry? This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge treatments facility.

𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙚:
As a Chemistry Placement at our Treatments Facility, you will be involved in a variety of exciting and practical tasks, including:
🧪Assisting with the chemical treatment and coatings processes for components
🧪Conducting laboratory testing and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards
🧪Supporting quality control and testing of chemicals and materials used in aerospace manufacturing
🧪Assisting in the research and development of new chemical treatments and coatings
🧪Monitoring and maintaining the chemical treatment processes to improve efficiency and quality
🧪Documenting and analysing data for regulatory and compliance purposes

𝙍𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨:
Currently enrolled in a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
☑️A strong understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques
☑️Interest in the aerospace industry and chemical treatments
☑️Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
☑️Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
☑️Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
