✨The days are rolling by, & it’s almost time for Nadene & Lennon to face the massive challenge of the London to Brighton Cycle Ride - raising vital funds to help us to look after the animals in our care. 💕 🚴‍♀️ 🚴‍♀️

The Big Day is SUNDAY 21ST JUNE!!
Nadene & Lennon have been training very hard for this over the past few months, so we thought we’d ask Nadene - who is one of our amazing volunteers - a few questions as to how it’s going, & how they are both feeling as the day draws nearer!

✨What inspired you to face this particular challenge?
🚴‍♀️“We started going for bike rides last year and really enjoyed it - being outside, doing something active and social. We both like a challenge so it made sense to try the London to Brighton Cycle.”

✨What's the longest distance you've cycled?
🚴‍♀️“We accidentally rode to Dover and back last year - 50miles - realised where we were and thought we have no option but to ride back!” 🤭🫣

✨When did you start training?
🚴‍♀️“We started training for the ride in March this year.”

✨What's been the most difficult part so far?
🚴‍♀️“The hills! The Ditchling Beacon is going to be our nemesis!”

✨Do you have a strategy for the challenge on the day?
🚴‍♀️“We are aiming for two short breaks to refuel; just focussing on one pedal after another & supporting each other.”

✨What are you looking forward to the most?
🚴‍♀️“We are most looking forward the start & finish - trying not to think about the bit in between!”

✨How are you going to relax after completing the challenge?
🚴‍♀️“They have a celebration area, so I'm sure there will be good food & one or two gin and tonics!”

✨Do you have any thoughts on taking on another challenge?
🚴‍♀️“Depending on how this goes I might take on a bigger challenge.”

✨You've had fantastic support so far, & raised over £500 already! How does that feel?
🚴‍♀️“It feels amazing to have so much support from friends & family. We are so pleased to raise money to support TAG Pet Rescue x”
