🟣“Who do you see when something goes wrong?”🟣

I get asked this more than you’d think.

People assume that because I’m an osteopath, my body just... works perfectly all the time.

It does not.

I’m hypermobile. I teach pole and aerial.

My body takes a lot on.

A big part of how I stay on top of it is exercise.

Strength training specifically — deadlifts, bench press, lower body work.
Building the muscle around my joints so they’re supported. Not just mobile. Strong.

That’s non-negotiable for me.

But I’d be lying if I said that covered everything.

Aerial is brutally upper body heavy.
Shoulders, arms, back, they take a hammering week in, week out. Even when your technique is good. Even when you’re strong.
Overuse is overuse.

So when something needs attention?
I get a sports massage.
Tight shoulders, overworked upper back, that specific kind of fatigue that comes from too many sessions close together, a good sports massage sorts it.

And if it’s something more, something that needs a proper assessment, a full picture, hands-on treatment with a plan behind it?

I go and see my osteopath.
Yes. I have one. Of course I do.

I tell my clients to get help early.
It would be a bit hypocritical not to do the same myself.

Practice what you preach and all that.
If you’ve been wondering whether sports massage or osteopathy is right for what you’ve got going on — message me “INFO” and let’s figure it out.

Today we have the aerial rig to the school summer fair today.

This is what happens when your mum owns a pole and aerial studio.

You get voluntold to demonstrate the hammock in front of your entire school.

Days like this are one of my favourite parts of running Phases alongside the clinic. Getting out into the community. Letting people see what aerial actually looks like up close, not just on a screen.

A lot of people have no idea what happens inside the studio. They walk past, they’re curious, they never quite take the step.

A school fair changes that. Kids trying the hammock, parents asking questions, people who’ve thought about it for months finally having a proper conversation about it.

That’s the whole point.

Two businesses, one community. The clinic and the studio both exist for the same reason, to keep people in Thanet moving. Whether that’s treating a bad back or getting someone upside down for the first time.

Movement is everything. Even at a school fair on a sunny Saturday.

Are you here today? Come and say hi!
