Chapter England 🇬🇧

Earlier this year we headed to the English coast for a few days, thinking we’d get the usual grey skies and moody seaside weather.. but somehow ended up with nothing but blue skies and sunshine the entire time. In winter. In England. Still not over it. ☀️

We explored places like Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Canterbury and even made it to the Dover cliffs. Seaside walks, cosy pubs, and stopping at every (second-hand) bookstore we came across. 📚 That typical British charm everywhere we went!

Which of these places would you visit first?

More from this England trip coming up next ✨

Yerseke 🇳🇱 — If you love oysters, this is your place. 🦪

We spent a few days here and it’s one of those spots that feels very.. Zeeland. Quiet, close to the water, a bit slower, and all about good food and fresh air. 🌊

Yerseke is the oyster and mussel village of Zeeland, so yes, that basically sets the tone for your trip! Think fresh seafood everywhere, little harbour views, oyster pits, and that salty sea breeze that somehow makes everything taste even better.. 🦪✨ There are oyster spots all over the village, so if you’re into that, you’re in the right place!

We walked along the Oosterschelde, watched the boats come in and out, played at the beach, and of course made sure to sit down for oysters & mussels (had to). 🐚 It’s not a place with a long list of must-do’s, and that’s kind of the charm. You just wander and enjoy being outside.

We stayed nearby at Oysterduinen, a small holiday park just outside the centre, which made it a really nice base for exploring the area and slowing down a bit. 🏡

Would you go somewhere just for the oysters? 😏🦪
