Proud to have joined Mayor Andy Burnham and City Council Leader Bev Craig to announce the next phase of Greater Manchester’s Good Growth Fund (A £2 Billion Pound investment into the city region)

Thank you both for inviting me to speak on such an important moment for the city region.

When I chose to build NQ in Manchester 9 years ago, it was because I could see the growth coming. I believed in the talent here, the culture here and the future here. I believed Greater Manchester had the foundations not just to grow nationally, but to compete on the world stage.

That is how I’ve always looked at Manchester, and it is how I look at what I’m building at NQ too. We are growing from Manchester, but with global ambition. Not just to be part of the UK conversation, but to show that businesses, talent and culture built here can stand tall anywhere in the world.

It was important for me to speak on the role collaboration plays in that growth too. If growth is going to be for all, it has to be built together sustainably. Across culture, business, communities and leadership, real progress comes when people work together to create opportunity that reaches further.

Proud to be part of the conversation. Proud to be building from Manchester. And proud to see the city continue to step into the scale of what it’s always been capable of.
