As 2024 wraps up, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year of growth, connection, and innovation. It’s been a whirlwind, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing community of volunteer managers, organisations, and, of course, the volunteers themselves!
Here are some of our highlights:
We kicked off the year with our Tempo Time Credits integration and a huge refresh of the TeamKinetic app. These were just a few things we did to connect the sector and make volunteering easier for everyone.
Our conference in September brought volunteer managers and experts together for a day of big ideas and practical tips. Missed it? The recordings are ready for you: https://teamkinetic.co.uk/conference?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social
We also launched the Digital in Volunteering Toolkit this month. It's something that had been in the works for a loooong time! It's the new go-to resource for managing volunteers in the digital age.
This year wasn’t just about features and events, it was about supporting the sector and tackling challenges together.
Here’s to 2025! 🎉

The Digital in Volunteering Toolkit launches next week. But what is it?
In response to the rapid pace of tech change, we have developed the Digital in Volunteering Toolkit alongside Gethyn Williams, and the AVM.
The toolkit will help Volunteer Leaders adopt the digital tools and strategies that fit their unique needs, on their own terms.
Do you feel:
- ‘Stuck in Excel’ but unsure how to break out of spreadsheet management?
- Pressure to adopt new digital tools just to avoid FOMO?
- Bamboozled by a range of choices or technical options?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Toolkit is for you.
So, join us at the online launch on Thursday 5th December. You can pick up tickets for free via the AVM's website:

Are you managing volunteers in a complex organisation?
It can feel like a big challenge, but there are ways to make it work!
In our latest blog, we take a look back at Dr Helen Timbrell's session from our conference. She provides some practical strategies to help your volunteers thrive, even in the most complicated structures.
She even includes an amazing metaphor, comparing volunteer managers to Taylor Swift...
