Smart office technology is one of the fastest-growing areas of workplace investment - and one of the easiest to get wrong.
Not all of it is worth the money. The key is starting with the problem you are trying to solve, not the technology you have been shown.
We've put together a practical guide covering the categories of smart office technology that genuinely deliver value - from occupancy sensing and room booking to AV, environmental monitoring and access control - and what to avoid.

We've put together a practical guide covering everything you need to know about video conferencing room design, from the basics to the details that make a real difference for your remote and in-room participants alike.

Last Friday, our team swapped the office for the streets of Manchester as we took on Race Across the World: The Experience
With clues to solve, checkpoints to find and plenty of strategy needed along the way, it was a brilliant team away day full of problem-solving, friendly competition and a few unexpected twists.
The experience is all about teamwork, quick thinking and exploring the city on foot, which made it a great way to spend time together outside the usual working day.
A big thank you for a fantastic Manchester challenge.

What do employees really notice about office design?
It is not always the feature wall, the statement furniture or the brand colours.
Often, it is the everyday details that shape how people feel at work. Lighting, temperature, noise levels, meeting room availability, privacy, breakout spaces and general comfort all play a major role in the employee experience.
A workplace may look impressive, but it also needs to function properly for the people using it every day.
In our latest article, we explore why behaviour-led office design matters and how businesses can create workplaces that support focus, collaboration, wellbeing and daily performance.

Is your office holding your team back?
Your workplace should support how people actually work every day. That means space to focus, areas to collaborate, flexibility for hybrid working and an environment that reflects your brand.
When the office feels noisy, overcrowded, uninspiring or disconnected from your team’s needs, it can affect productivity, culture and attendance.
However, the right workplace strategy can help turn those issues into opportunities.
From improved layouts and better acoustics to stronger branding and smarter use of space, small changes can make a big difference.

ADT Workplace is proud to be supporting the planned transformation of Atlantic Pavilion at Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock.
As Acorn Group progresses plans for the £10m refurbishment, this landmark Grade I listed waterfront building is set to begin an exciting new chapter as a modern workplace destination.
For us, this project highlights the importance of balancing heritage, sustainability and contemporary workplace design. The wider redevelopment team also includes Donald Insall Associates, whose expertise in heritage architecture supports the careful restoration and long-term future of the Grade I listed building.
Today’s occupiers need more than traditional office space. They need environments that support flexibility, collaboration, wellbeing and long-term business performance.
Atlantic Pavilion is a fantastic example of how workplace transformation can breathe new life into existing commercial buildings while preserving the character that makes them unique.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
