This week actors performed a scene from the new movie Poor Things (with a likely BAFTA win for Emma Stone).
A great acting exercise on the use of physicality.

Over the last two months I have watched may films to vote for the BAFTA awards.
Last night I watched the new Emma Stone movie POOR THINGS. It is one of the oddest movies I have seen, yet intriguing, and visually stunning.
This stylized period dark comedy has themes of Frankenstein.
Emma Stone plays an English woman with the brain of a baby. She is incredible in this role and should win best actress.
Mark Ruffalo plays an English cad with great humour and acting skill. He could win best actor.
Willem Dafoe plays her deformed Scottish creator. Again, another great performance.
The only minor thing I would say about it is that it feels 20 minutes too long. But worth watching this piece of original art.

This movie is likely to win big at the BAFTAs and Oscars. It get's my vote.
