Little Sister of the Poor

This was a memory of my late grandmother's, she used to tell me about how her father Edward Mooney would take her out and about in Manchester and Salford to see the poor children a lot less fortunate than herself, with no shoes on their feet and scruffy cothes! So one day my grandmother took her favourite doll with her and gave it to the first little girl she saw in poverty that day.

Lovely story, although very sad to see the poverty, its nice to see people caring about others. My great grandfather was a SVP man in Manchester at St Mary's Mulberry street. 🙏
