Did you know the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations are being updated?
Amendment 4 to the 18th Edition of BS 7671 is being published today, 15 April 2026, introducing updates that electricians and installers should be aware of.
These updates include new guidance on battery storage systems, changes to earthing and bonding for ICT equipment, and a new section covering Power over Ethernet (PoE), alongside wider updates to installation requirements.
If you already hold the 18th Edition (2382-22) qualification, you may only need an amendment update course to stay aligned with the latest regulations. The current version of the regulations is expected to be withdrawn on 15 October 2026, so now is the time to start preparing to remain compliant.

They’re not part of the team on paper, but they definitely play their part behind the scenes.
