We’re so excited to be showcasing the work of local artist 💫

Johnny’s pieces ‘The Mollie’s Club’, ‘Out of Bondage’ and ‘Cottage Queen’ are on display throughout our Tib Street staircase, and you can buy them by scanning the QR codes or enquiring at Egoïste Gallery on the 3rd floor ✨

Born in rural Lancashire and a Manchester School of Art graduate, Johnny’s work explores q***r history through drag, portraiture and pure glamour.

In current series Such Camp!, Johnny researches historic court documents and q***r literature to tell the stories of LGBTQ+ identity, visibility and subculture — reclaiming space in art history where q***r lives have too often been erased.

By blending classical inspiration with contemporary practice, Johnny’s work beautifully marries past and present 🖤

It’s a chilly but (slightly) sunny day in Manchester, and honestly, what better way to spend it than inside browsing three floors of independent traders? You deserve a lil treat after such a busy few days 🤭

We’re open 10–6 today, then it’s business as usual until New Year’s Eve when we’ll be closing a little earlier. We’ll be closed all day on New Year’s Day ✨
