Pens at an age now where I can say no to things and she’s absolutely fine with it. (It hasn’t always been this way!)

If you don’t already do this a trick I used to do was, picture the things she wanted. Then save them down into a file for Christmas and birthdays. (Quite often she’d forget about whatever it was after we’d left the shop.)

I feel like stopping and taking time to do the picture validates the want and 9/10 times stopped any kind of upset on her behalf.
