Things you can do to support you if you are feeling in distress as a result of the US elections outcome

โœจ Intentionally focus your attention on something you like (i.e. your dog/cat/turtle, favourite hobby, future holidays)

โœจ Let yourself grief, feel your emotions without judging

โœจ Reach out to your friends, family and people you feel fully safe and accepted with

โœจ Reach out to safe spaces and communities who share similar characteristics or challenges

โœจ Breath, feel the ground under your feet, feel the sensation of your socks wrapped around your feet, feel the temperature and texture of your clothes on your body

โœจ Look around the room and name 5 green objects you can see

โœจ Do whatever makes you feel present, safe and hopeful
