Things you can do to support you if you are feeling in distress as a result of the US elections outcome
โจ Intentionally focus your attention on something you like (i.e. your dog/cat/turtle, favourite hobby, future holidays)
โจ Let yourself grief, feel your emotions without judging
โจ Reach out to your friends, family and people you feel fully safe and accepted with
โจ Reach out to safe spaces and communities who share similar characteristics or challenges
โจ Breath, feel the ground under your feet, feel the sensation of your socks wrapped around your feet, feel the temperature and texture of your clothes on your body
โจ Look around the room and name 5 green objects you can see
โจ Do whatever makes you feel present, safe and hopeful
