Virtual Power Plants explained. Your home battery could be earning you money and most people have no idea.

What is a Virtual Power Plant? A Virtual Power Plant is a network of thousands of home batteries and sometimes EV chargers and heat pumps connected together through a software platform and coordinated to act like a single large power station.

Last night’s Channel 4 programme Guy Martin’s House Without Bills sparked a lot of interest in how UK homes can dramatically reduce heating costs using modern energy technology.
