🇫🇷 Year 9 Shine in Paris 🇫🇷

Our recent Year 9 visit to Paris was a tremendous success, and we couldn't be prouder of the students who represented the school so brilliantly.

From exploring the sights of Paris and the magnificent cathedral in Amiens to enjoying Cinema Rex, sampling chocolate and sharing meals together each evening, our students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, curiosity and impeccable manners.

What impressed us most was the way they conducted themselves throughout the trip. They were polite, respectful, reliable and mature at every stage, earning praise from staff and proving themselves to be exceptional ambassadors for our school.

To recognise some outstanding moments, we presented our 'Lenham Legends in Paris' awards for generosity, friendship, leadership, entertainment and bravery. Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to every student for making the trip such a memorable one.

📚 Personal Development Day 📚

Last week, we made the most of the final week of term by hosting our first whole-school Personal Development Drop Down Day for some time.

Students across the school took part in a range of activities designed to prepare them for the future. Years 7 and 8 participated in anti-bullying workshops, Year 9 explored their GCSE options and developed valuable study skills ahead of Key Stage 4, while Years 10 and 12, fresh from their work experience placements, took part in an employability day that included one-to-one mock interviews with local employers.

We were especially proud of the feedback from our interview panel, who commented on how mature, articulate and well-prepared our students were. A fantastic day that equipped our young people with valuable knowledge, confidence and skills for the future.

Last week, our Year 7 girls took part in a VIAT Rounders Tournament against other schools from across the Trust.

The girls were fantastic throughout, impressing with their commitment, teamwork and sporting skill. They represented TLS brilliantly, and we are very proud of their efforts.

Our Sixth Form artists have been supporting students from our VIAT primary schools with their artwork.

This has been a fantastic opportunity for our older students to share their skills, encourage creativity and act as positive role models for younger pupils across the Trust.
