This 1970s detached house in Folkstone was beginning to show its age. Our customer wanted to enhance the visual appeal of his property. The existing tile hung elevations were stripped.

Hardie plank finished in ‘Light Mist’ was then installed to the upper elevations of the property.

The existing fascia and soffit was also in need of attention, we replaced with low maintenance UPVC fascia and soffit finished in ‘Anthracite Grey’ to compliment the ‘Light Mist’ Hardie plank.

Aluminium windows were then installed by another contractor, as you can see the house has been totally transformed.

These tile hung dormers were extremely inadequately insulated when this loft conversion was built. This caused the rooms to be cold and costly to heat.

This customer contacted us for a quote to replace the existing concrete hanging tiles, with Hardie plank fibre cement cladding. Once the tiles were removed it was clear to see that the existing insulation was totally substandard. We replaced this with Quinn therm foiled insulation which meets modern building regulations.

The dormers were then counter battened to provide an air space between the insulation and newly installed cladding.

The Iron Grey Hardie plank was then installed on the front and rear dormers, providing a weather proof exterior, giving the property a remarkable new look.

The newly insulated dormers now make the loft conversion more usable and comfortable, as well as reducing heating bills.
