Luton Wildlife Rescue
05/04/2025
Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of posts, but been so busy with looking after my mum after her stroke and broken hip & femur.
Anyway, rescue has not stopped so while I have a few minutes I will update on what I have, had in and gone to other rescues due to type of animal and injuries.
Today’s rescue was a wood pigeon, cat caught, slight hole under wing but more superficial wounds. Now been cleaned up, vet gold applied and also antibiotics for the cat bite and pain relief.
I have had many pigeons, starlings, hedgehogs, and sparrows.
2 foxes that I rescued from a garage in
Marsh farm, 1 had an ear missing and the other a twisted foot. Both recovering well now.
1 baby squirrel which has now gone to another rescue that has the facilities and license to help these beautiful animals.
Also an Indian ringneck parrot found grounded in Houghton Regis.
If anyone would like to help me with the continued work I do, I am getting low on Vetgold. Also my PayPal is [email protected]. Without help I cannot continue to help the wildlife for Bedfordshire xx
Thank you so much xx

Today’s rescue was a bit different to my normal rescues and one I never get involved with due to space and not experienced.
I was alerted to a baby seagull in Wardown park with a severe broken wing. Made a few phone calls but unfortunately no one could help and Mandi was at work. It played on my mind so I went to take a look. It was at the easiest park of the park but no chance in catching as was jumping back into the lake from the well. It then swan in circles and headed to another part of the park where I asked 2 ladies to help. We managed to get him to go to the other side of the lake and the ladies with their cardigans and my blanket managed to corner him.
He was only a baby.
I took him to see my vet David but unfortunately it was broken in a few places and nothing could be done.
Fly high baby seagull (Tuesday). Now pain free and flying over rainbow 🌈 bridge 💔😢💔😢💔.
Thank you to the 2 ladies, I never got their names and David too xx
